Happy National Athletic Training Month - March 2024

National Athletic Training Month (NATM) is held every March in order to spread awareness about the important work of athletic trainers.

Prime is an athletic trainer owned clinic - which is both special and unique. If you’ve watched an NFL or College Football game on TV and seen a player go down with an injury…you’ve seen an athletic trainer in action…running out onto the field to assess the player’s injury. When an athlete is taken to the sidelines and into the blue tent…an athletic trainer is one of the members of the medical team helping make the decision whether or not the athlete can return to the game.

During March, Athletic Trainers across America are being recognized for their commitment to helping people prevent injuries, stay healthy and active and most recently, leading the way with establishing Covid-19 protocols.

As health care professionals, we are highly educated and dedicated to the job at hand. Athletic Trainers are found in High Schools and Colleges, Corporations, Professional Sports, the Military, Performing Arts, Clinics, Hospitals and Physician Offices.

Here at Prime, you too can utilize the skills and expertise of athletic trainers - whether you have an existing injury or you’re starting to feel an imbalance or instability and want to prevent a future injury.

NEW CLIENTS

If you’re a new client, we recommend you schedule an initial 90-minute session that will include a comprehensive evaluation, treatment and a plan to move forward with exercises specific to you.

ACUTE INJURIES

Our athletic trainers are also here to take care of an acute injury. As we like to say, “don’t waste time, get to Prime” so you can have a new injury evaluated. Especially if you have a soft tissue injury - like a sprain or strain. Go to the ER for obvious fractures, lacerations or dislocations. If you don’t see immediate availability give us a call at 360-922-3120.

FOLLOW UP and RE-ASSESSMENT

If you are an established client at Prime, come back in to move to the next level. We’ll re-assess your progress, provide manual therapy treatment and give you a new plan with an updated exercise program.

TREATMENT

Your appointment may include treatment such as soft tissue work, cupping, Graston, manual therapy, assisted stretching, or specialty taping.

YOUR GOALS

We help you achieve your goals by coming up with a plan, providing specific steps to take, & empowering you with the most essential tools you need to get and stay healthy.

EASY TO FOLLOW EXERCISES

You can expect to come away with an emailed plan with videos as a reference to remember how to perform each exercise properly.

You will also be able to track your progress and set alerts to remind you to do your exercises each week.

NOT MUCH TIME

Come in for a quick tune-up which can make all the difference in your progress. There's a lot we can accomplish in 30 minutes to help you feel better and get clear on the very next step(s) to take.

REFERRALS

Please have a referral from another licensed health care provider (Physician, Chiropractor, Massage Therapist, Naturopath, etc).
