The staff at Prime was very welcoming and Matt and Kerry did a thorough examination to evaluate the injury to make the best rehab recommendations. Upon exam, they discovered that I had actually partially tore my Achilles tendon and recommended a doctor to confirm and then to follow their protocol. Kerry helped by calling the doctor for me while Matt started some therapy activities to control the swelling, stabilize, and stimulate the healing process. I had surgery the next week to repair it and my recovery with them has gone significantly smoother than others I know with the same injury. I have Prime to thank for that! I have been a regular member at Prime for massage and athletic training for over 2 years to address the various injuries that an endurance athlete enjoying multiple modalities experiences in an aging body. Prime’s positive attitude returning to full movement and capability where I don’t even remember these injuries is a welcome contrast to providers who simply advise to stop doing certain activities.
I signed up to run in the Chuckanut 50k race and shortly after, a seasonal membership to the Prime training room to help with recovery during the intensive months of pre-race training, especially since I went into those months with a nagging hamstring issue. Although I wasn’t able to completely allow the hamstring to heal due to the running mileage, my consistency at Prime has allowed me to continue to train without it getting worse. The monthly massage kept everything limber, with regular athletic training to work out any other kinks in between massages. Several times a week focusing on recovery with compression and contrast tubs also contributed to preventing this injury from halting my training and goals. I am grateful to the whole team for their support and skills!

Is massage included with all memberships?
If you sign up for an Annual Membership (12-month commitment) or a Season Pass (3-month commitment) you get one 60-minute massage each month.
Schedule your sessions in advance to save your space and get the time and date that works best for you!
What if I’m not injured?
You don’t have to be injured to be a member at Prime.
If you have an injury, a membership will allow you the consistent care that you need to recover and move from rehabilitation to high performance.
If you aren’t injured, a membership can help you stay healthy by identifying small issues that could lead to future injuries.
Is this like a gym membership?
This is not a gym membership. Your membership includes massage, athletic training and recovery.
Athletic training is sports medicine - not personal training.
You get access to the Prime athletic training room for sports recovery. Schedule a recovery session after your workout, before or after your race, or on your rest day.
Do monthly sessions rollover?
No. You must use your 60-min massage and 30-min athletic training sessions each month. Sessions do not rollover each month.
We recommend that you book in advance so you get the times and days that work best for you. Don’t wait until last minute to get in.
You can always adjust your appointments and reschedule whenever you need.
What is athletic training?
Athletic Trainers are licensed healthcare professionals and different than personal trainers. Athletic trainers can
evaluate and treat injuries
prescribe and progress exercises
collaborate with other medical professionals
Will I have time?
The missing piece in most training plans is recovery. Your body needs to recover - especially as you increase mileage, stress and/or intensity.
Even if you don’t refer to yourself an athlete…moving parts wear down. By investing in a membership you make your health and self care a priority. Our team will help you maximize your time and reallocate your schedule to keep you on track with your goals.
