D.J. DeAustria, Licensed Massage Therapist

LICENSING:

Words to describe my philosophy are Trigger "Point Thai" and "Individualization."

Through the yoga-like movement in Thai Massage, imbalances, inflexibilities, and sticking points become clear.

With a mix of Thai, trigger point release, and deep tissue sports massage, I can help you improve flexibility, range of motion, and circulation and work out those new or long-standing pain points.

More About DJ:

“Sports have been a huge part of my life since I was young, including wrestling in high school and college. I ran my first two marathons during my junior year in high school. As an adult, I found that triathlons are the best for me because they are the perfect mix of a solo, personal challenge and social swims, rides, and runs for training.

So far I have finished 20 Ironman Triathlons (including Kona) and the Ironman World Championships. One notable event I’m proud of completing is the 2014 Boston Marathon. I took up mountain biking in 2016, and have done some cross-country races including the High Cascade 100-mile MTB race in 2017, the 2024 Galbraith Supreme.

I really enjoy open water swimming - I once swam to Canada around an Island and back, about a 10K. Since moving to Bellingham, I’ve raced the Chuckanut 50K twice and volunteered once. You will usually find me right in the middle of a running race.

My partner and I were drawn to Bellingham for the open-water swim opportunities and all the biking. She’s got me into mountain biking and open water swimming beyond triathlon. She also has me relearning to be handy around the house.”

Why do you like being part of Prime?

I’m impressed by the community involvement. I want to contribute to the community and being part of Prime makes it easier, and more fun to do so.

Being part of a team where I can learn, and contribute to helping people get back to what they want to do is important to me.
